Started this morning with Alli at Pioneer Mail picnic area. Weather cleared last night; beautiful day today. Continued along the Laguna Mountains escarpment for about 10 miles before dropping off and heading down to the desert floor. Passed Alli around noon and covered 24 miles today down to Scissors Crossing in the Anza Borrego Desert. Passed the Salem 3 near Scissors who were getting a ride into Stagecoach from Peru and Radar from Tennessee. On to the water cache at Scissors Crossing where I ran into others (Eng-shien and Erhung from San Francisco, Paul and Dee from SoCal, and Leon from Long Beach). Trail magic in a cooler at Scissors - Pepsi, Coors and Tootsie Pops! Camped at Scissors Crossing with Alli and some wild turkeys.
